4 Desk Jobs That Don't Require a Degree
If the thought of standing on your feet for hours on end doesn’t appeal to you, a desk job is an ideal solution. Working at a desk will give you the luxury of sitting down all day, as well as making you look and feel important! But what if you have no degree? No problem! Here are four desk jobs that don’t require a degree.
1. Hotel Concierge
The hotel concierge sits at a desk and tends to the needs of hotel guests. You’ll be answering questions about local amenities, booking guests’ dining reservations, arranging dry cleaning and maybe even taking care of guests’ pet needs during their stay. You’ll need to dress well and be polite and resourceful.
As long as you know how to use a telephone, you’re qualified to be a receptionist. In this position, you’ll need to assist customers that come into the establishment, answer phones, route calls and take messages when necessary. Your appearance is important in this role, so you’ll need to look sharp everyday. What you won’t need is a degree.
3. Real Estate Assistant
As a real estate assistant, you’ll sit behind the desk at the agent’s office. You’ll be responsible for things like writing home descriptions, creating sales fliers and ordering new business cards for the agents. If you want to someday become a real estate agent yourself, you could even do that, no degree required!
4. Call Center Agent
Working at a call center will give you a comfy chair to sit in during your shift, as well as a desk with a computer. You’ll either be making outbound calls or answering calls that are coming in. While this job isn’t as prestigious as the other ones listed here, it will keep you off your feet!
If you’re tired of coming home exhausted from waiting tables or doing another job that requires long hours of standing, one of these four desk jobs might suit you well!Back To Career Advice
